🍫 Homemade Chocolate with Cocoa Powder & Milk

Ingredients
  

  • Β½ cup milk full-fat preferred
  • ΒΌ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ΒΌ cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter or coconut oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Β½ tsp vanilla essence optional
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts coconut flakes, dried fruit

Method
 

  1. Place a small saucepan on low heat. Pour in the milk and warm it gently. Do not let it boil.
  2. Add the cocoa powder gradually, stirring constantly until mostly smooth.
  3. Add sugar a little at a time, stirring and tasting until it suits your preference.
  4. Add butter or coconut oil and stir slowly until the mixture becomes glossy and thick.
  5. Add a pinch of salt and vanilla essence if using. Stir for 2–3 minutes until silky.
  6. Line a small tray or plate with parchment paper.
  7. Pour the warm chocolate mixture into the tray and spread evenly with the back of a spoon.
  8. Sprinkle nuts, coconut, or dried fruit on top if desired. Press lightly.
  9. Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours until fully set.
  10. Cut into small squares or break into rustic pieces and enjoy.

Notes

If chocolate feels too soft, add a little more butter or chill longer.
If it tastes bitter, add a splash of milk or a bit more sugar.
If it feels too sweet, balance with salt or extra nuts.
