Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Prep Time 10 minutes
Chill time 30 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes
Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados peeled and pitted
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder or 70% dark chocolate melted
  • 2 –3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup to taste
  • 1 –3 tablespoons milk of choice only if needed for texture
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Add the ripe avocado flesh to a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Add the cocoa powder or melted dark chocolate, sweetener, and salt. Blend again until fully combined and creamy.
  3. Check the texture. If the mousse is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly until smooth and spoonable.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or salt gently if needed.
  5. Transfer the mousse to serving bowls or jars. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to settle.
  6. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use fully ripe avocados for the smoothest texture and best flavor.
Sweeten gradually—this mousse is meant to be balanced, not overly sweet.
A short chill improves both texture and taste.
Serving Suggestions
Serve plain, or top lightly with fresh berries, a dusting of cocoa powder, or finely chopped nuts.
Storage
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Stir gently before serving if needed.
