Method

- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.

- Add the butter and rub it into the flour with your fingers until the mixture looks crumbly.

- Pour in the milk a little at a time, mixing gently until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.

- Lightly flour a surface and roll the dough out to medium thickness.

- Cut the dough into rounds using a glass or cutter.

- Heat a pan over medium heat and add oil or butter.

- Place the dough rounds in the pan, leaving space between them.

- Cook until the bottom is golden, then flip and cook the other side until golden and cooked through.

- Remove from the pan and serve warm.

Notes
Keep the heat medium to avoid burning the outside before the inside cooks.
Soft dough makes softer biscuits — don’t add too much flour.
Best eaten fresh and warm.
