Simple Chicken Pita Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • **Chicken**
  • - 2 cups cooked chicken breast sliced
  • - 1 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1 tsp paprika
  • - 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • - 1 tsp lemon juice
  • - Salt and pepper
  • **Pita Filling**
  • - 2 soft pita breads
  • - 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
  • - 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • - 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • - 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • - 1/4 cup crumbled feta
  • **Yogurt Sauce**
  • - 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • - 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • - 1 garlic clove grated
  • - 1 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1 tbsp chopped dill or mint
  • - Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook chicken with olive oil and spices until golden.
  2. Mix yogurt, lemon, garlic, olive oil, and dill for sauce.
  3. Chop vegetables and lettuce.
  4. Warm pita bread.
  5. Assemble pita with sauce, lettuce, chicken, vegetables, and feta.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Add olives, hummus, roasted peppers, or chili flakes.
